For more than a century, Taylor’s has owned the magnificent Vergellas estate, in the wildest and roughest stretch of Douro. Here the grapes are still crushed by foot, to get the wine that is the backbone of Taylor’s Vintage Port. The Quinta de Vargellas is a vintage port of which the wine comes only from one quinta. In the time since Taylor’s has existed, the Vargellas has been recognized as one of the best wine estates in the world.
