The special thing about the Port wines of Quinta do Infantado is that they are predominantly less sweet than the Port of other brands. This gives them more power in the flavor, which is not muddled by the sweet content. The Port wines of Quinta do Infantado have therefore the flavor description medium-dry.
Big nose of dark cherries and minerals. Well-integrated alcohol with a full flavour of chocolate and nuts. Very good balance all round. Goes very well with Stilton and pears. Can be used for many years to come.
Opaque purple, the wine shows a lovely nose of black cherry liqueur, blackberries, minerals and tar. Full-bodied, with a silky texture, medium acidity, big supple tannins and medium sweetness. The dominant taste is black fruit. The middle is full and the finish long and smooth. An excellent match with a chocolate meringue cake. Although this Port is still young, it is very drinkable and will last for at least 25 years.
Opaque black/purple, an intense nose of spicy blackberries, berries and vanilla. Full-bodied on the palate, with medium sweetness for a port, medium acidity, huge tannins and similar black fruits on the nose. Long, smooth finish.
