This Ruby Port blend of the grapes Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca, Tinto Cão and Tinta Roriz is stored after fermentation in huge oak barrels to avoid the oxidation process and preserve the red dark purple colour.
The Ruby is bottled after an average of two years and has aromas of fresh and dried red fruit and a pleasant taste of red fruit such as raspberries.
On the palate: A rich ruby red colour with an aroma reminiscent of delicate red berries: raspberries and wild strawberries. Harmonious and balanced on the palate, with a sweet and attractive fruity aftertaste.
Storage: Store upright in a cool, dark place. It does not develop significantly further in the bottle. Can be kept for three or four years without losing its freshness.
Serve: Serve slightly chilled, between 12 and 13 ºC. Delicious on its own or with a sweet dessert like chocolate cake or wild berry pie.
